The 2018 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Postgraduate Research in Microelectronics and Electronics (PrimeAsia) will be held at Shangri-La Hotel in Chengdu, China during October 26-30, 2018. PrimeAsia is an initiative of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CAS) for engaging students. It aims to provide opportunity for postgraduate students (Masters and PhD) to present their research work and to interact with scientists and engineers in the research community and industry.

The committee is also soliciting proposals for SPECIAL SESSION on topics relevant within the scope of the conference. Special-session proposals should be submitted by the prospective organizer(s) who will commit to promoting and handling the review process of their special session as Chairs or Co-Chairs of the event. Proposals should include the following information:

• Title;
• Name(s) of organizer(s);
• Email of main contact person;
• Brief bio(s) of organizer(s);
• Brief description;
• Related topics;
• Potential participants;
• A draft of the CFP (please download and use the template at the link below);
• Description of publicity and promotion plan;
• Brief report on past editions of the special session, if any, including the number of submitted and accepted papers, the number of attendees, etc.

Papers submitted to special sessions will have to be evaluated and peer-reviewed along the very same criteria of the regular sessions.
Special session proposals submitted at PrimeAsia are evaluated based on topic novelty and associated impact, organizing committee qualifications, as well as the proposed list of contributed papers. The papers are expected to meet the same quality standards with the conference paper. Paper review will be performed according to rules adhering to the regular papers submitted to the conference.
